I've got something in my eye. How do I get it out?!

Question: Lately it's been windy and stuff has been getting in my eyes. Usually it seems to go away but not this time. I've been using this Eye Wash stuff that you use with a little cup that goes over your eye. It's not working? What should I do?
Answers:
Fill a small glass with water (shot glass would work really well), to the top. Cover the glass with your eye, allowing your eye to be immersed. Then open your eye. Try blinking the eye to help wash out the eye. This is the easiest "self help" that I used. Hope it works for you as well. ~T

i'm a doctor.
q-tip
Sharp stick.
flush, flush, flush, with cool-lukewarm water..if it still does not come out, do not rub-go to doc or emergency room, you can do serious damage to your cornea
you just have to blink and wait it out i know it sucks but what can i say
Hold your eyelids open and put it under running water.might work.might not.I usually just let it work itself out.
You could try running water over it for a few minutes. Put your eye under the shower or something and force it to open.
OPEN UR EYE REALLY WIDE THEN PULL THAT LAYER UNDER UR EYE AND PUT THE WASH IN AND IT SHOULD WORK FINE IF NOT THEN DO THE SAME THING BUT USE A EAR CLEANER AND GET IT OUT HAHA

You may have scratched your cornea, which feels a lot like having something stuck in your eye. Keep washing it out, and don't rub it. If you can see your primary care physician, s/he can put drops in your eyes and use a black light to determine if there's really something in there and will get it out. Don't rub it, whatever you do.
just rub it itll come out!
Pull your upper lid with your finger way down low over your whole eye. Leave it there for at least 30 seconds. You will usually find the offending irritant stuck on your lower lash. This works for me every time.
the best thing is for you to see your doctor.he/she may be able to flush out what ever is causing distress.
Use a toothpick and very steady hands..

No don't.

Just keep flushing your eye with water or that solution you've got - or see a DR.
Have a friend blow in it

if its anything small itll just come out
You might try the SOFT end of a paper match
if you can see it use a q-tip other wise keep up with the eye wash and keep rinsing your eye (without the cup) also.
If the eye wash is not working, please go see an opthamologist before it becomes serious and endangers your eyesight!
Pull lid down
move eye fast around in circles for a minute or so
let lid go and most of the time the problem is over
go to the hospital they will get it out with a needle don't worry it does not hurt I had it done
use the back of a matchstick.not the wooden kind. have someone else do it. really works!
look downwards, pull your eyelids, then blink repeatedly.
goto the doctor, or try pulling the upper eyelid down as far as it goes and hold it there with your finger, it should make your eye watery and wash out that foreign item
u saw well enough to type that question.
-I'm just joking, I need my behind whooped! Um, did u try blowing on it at all? what about a q tip? If you can't see what it is you need to go to the doctor.
The old boy scout method works well, you pull the upper eye lid over the lower lid, or visa/versa depending on if its in the upper or lower lids, and allow the lid to drag across the opposite lid. It removes most debrise without irritating or scratching the cornea of the eye.

cup your hand and fill it with cool water hold up to your eye. make sure your eye is in the water and blink a few times. then keep it closed for a few. You may still feel like something is in there even though there isn't. This is natural once the eye is irritated it will feel like that for awhile. If it keeps up you can try drops that moisurize (not the ones for red eyes) they will make it feel better.

Do not rub your eye. that can cause damage. If hte irritations persists see your eye doctor. or if you see lines through your vision. that would signal scratches on your cornea.
3 thing you can do
1 flush it out with water if you have a hard time keeping you eye open under running water use a cup with luk warm water and keep moving your head up and down to put the water in and out of your eye.
2 go see an optician they can look at your eye in a slit lamp they are the ones in eye glass store they have to be there if the store is open.
3 go see an optometrist thats an eye doctor
Hope this help out

Have someone help you. While you hold your eye open wide with your fingers Have someone look good under a bright light. Roll your eye around and use flush solution. If they can see anything have them use a qtip to gently get it out. I may be that you have scratched your eyeball trying to get something out of there. If this is the case it will heal soon. If the pain persists see an eye dr. or go to emergency you could seriously damage the eye if you dont.
well it might not be an object, it might be an infection, normal irratation due to dryness, annoyance for contacts (if ya have those) a wripe in your cornia, or it might even bee you have a little bug in your eye known as a worm >___< nasty.

well id say try to flush it, get some eye drops for moister, or try crying. the tears are ment to get rid of little anoyances in the eye, and they are great for adding moister to your eyes.
if it dosent help, go see your doc. and tell him whatz up with your eye.
LEAVE IT ALONE AND GO SEE A DOCTOR, IF YOU HAVE NO I
NSURANCE GO TO THE WALL MART EYE DOCTOR THEY ARE REALLY GOOD AND HAVE REASONABLE PRICES.
pick it out yourself
