I was always told to remember that dried fruit is real fruit. You wouldn't eat a whole punnet of Apricots would you? So don't eat a whole packet of dried ones.

Dried fruit is often more fibrous and contains vitamins and minerals just like your normal fruit, it is quite good for you. However, as it is dried by the sun it is often more dense in calories so eating it often and in large amounts could lead to weight gain. So its best to consume in small amounts ocassionally (example: 4 - 5 dried apricots)and stick to the fresh fruit the majority of the time.
