Are people with fibromylgia able to get disability ?!

Question:
Answers:
It has to be well documented and over a good long period of time. Fibromyalgia doesn't have any test to prove you have it. It is an auto immune disorder so go to a specialist, Immunologyst, to have it tended to. Have them check your IgG, IgM and IgA levels.

When you apply, expect to be turned down. Automatically reapply with an appeal. You will be turned down a second time as well. Then, on the third time, mention a lawyer in the appeal. If they don't give it to you after the third request (9x's out of 10 they will), get a lawyer.

Expect this to take up to a year.

I am sorry you are ill, I will watch for your info because I know what this process is like. It is frustrating and you feel down about it often.

Good Luck and Goddess Bless.

Even with the aid of a lawyer, my sis was unable to get disability for FM. She got it for the severe depression brought on by FM though. She has to go every three years for review.
Weird, huh?
