Avoid the things which trigger them in the first place. If they are stress induced, reduce the stress in your life, and so on.
(Experimental) Some literature suggests mig. is due to hyper-cerebrovascular perfusion (bloodflow) - if this is true, an erection should subtract from this, as it taps the same blood volume (though some will come from spleen).
