Brush ALOT and use Super Floss, you can get it at Wal-Mart.

the area of your tooth that has the brace on the surface prevents plaque from growing on that tiny square.. its why you must keep your teeth clean, or else you'll have yellow teeth with square clean spots!

brush your teeth normally, its fine. if you need to clean behind the wires you can use a device, forgot what its called but its basically fine bristle pipe cleaner
i have no idea
Your orthidonist should hve reviewed this with you. But just as a refresher, there are several utensils that you can obtain in order to clean in between the braces and teeth. Other than the extras, everything is pretty much the same.
The orthadonist gives you special cleaning tools to clean your teeth with.
Use a toothpick or a water-pick. If it just sits there, eventually your saliva will disolve the food or will loosen enough to fall out.
You can brush your teeth with having braces very well.
You have to brush on an angle to get on top and below the wires & Wal-Mart sells special floss picks to get between the wires so you can floss also.
I had braces for 2 1/2 yrs and my teeth are as healty as can be.It's all worth the wait and hasle to clean trust me.
GOOD LUCK !
ask ur dentist
You have to have meticulous home care. You should be using an electric toothbrush, super floss or a floss threader, and a waterpik if you have one. If you don't floss everyday and remove the food and bacteria then you will have problems with demineralization of the enamel and possibly even cavities. Braces are not any fun, but taking proper care of your teeth now will ensure you that million dollar smile when they remove the braces.
