I'm diabetic. I use 90 units twice daily. What are the dangers from such a larg!

Question:
Answers:
obesity. Insulin makes you gain weight. Exercise after you eat and drink lots of waters. Check your levels and then do the corrections with your insulin. You will give yourself less insulin.

Other Answers:
I assume that because you are taking such a high dosage of insulin that your blood sugar levels must be high. You need to get those levels down, other then that, I am sure there is nothing wrong with taking a high unit of insulin, besides from prohibiting you from diet and exercising to keep your levels down.
Your blood sugar should not go above 120.
If it is @ or above 600, your body can go into shock, I wouldn't try that if I were you.
That depends on whether its short, rapid, intermediate, or long acting. Sounds like 90 units is something you really really needed.
depends upon what type of insulin.is it short or intermediate or long acting.but what ever is the type of insulin, from what you are saying you are on conventional insulin therapy.now a days what most of the people with DM are recommended are to use intensive insulin therapy.from your dosage it looks like you are needing more than average dose of insulin.could be due to many factors.1)insulin resistance 2)obesity 3)improper injection technique. But best thing in your case is to discuss with your doctor regarding intensive insulin therapy. but intensive insulin therapy involves taking insulin at least four or five times a day and checking blood sugar more frequently.also it is more expensive, and there is a higher risk of low blood sugar.but benefits are decreased risk of eye nerve and kidney problems.so worth it.but finally talk to your doctor and see a diabetic nurse as taking injection is a very specific technique which if done in wrong way can cause significant variation in blood sugar.
I imagine that it must hurt like a sonofabitch.
