does anyone know what l-lysine is good for?!

Question: DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT L-LYSINE IS GOOD FOR, AND WHATS IT MADE OUT OF, WHAT CAN HELP HUMMING IN THE EARS
Answers:
L-lysine is protein amino acid. It is classified as an essential amino acid for humans. Lysine may reduce the recurrence rate of herpes simplex virus (HSV) infections and/or reduce their severity in some, though research results have been mixed with respect to this putative benefit. Very preliminary research indicates a possible role for lysine in the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis. Niacin, Lecithin, zinc and magnesium are vitamins you can try for tinnitus. As far as herbs try Gingko Biloba.

Lysine is concentrated in the muscle tissue. It's an essential amino acid (there are 9 essential amino acids that make up protein. There are many more amino acids that we make in our bodies and so are not considered essential.

Lysine helps calcium be absorbed in the stomach. It promotes bone growth and collagen formation.

Ringing in the ears is most commonly caused by dehydration. As a first course, try drinking more water (at least a 1/2 gallon a day) and see if that helps.
