yes, it is possible. in the united states this situation is very rare now, due to extensive testing on donor blood. i can't speak for other countries.

you mean transfusion, right? yes, because it is highly contagious that's why it is very important to have a crossmatching.
Yes it can happen if the blood was not tested for HIV and the donor was infected with the virus it can happen same as using an infected hypodermic syringe !
HIV/AIDS is transmitted through bodily excretions and products. If a person has HIV/AIDS, then it is in his/her blood. If his/her blood is transfused into another person, the recipent could be exposed to the virus. Due to these types of medical challenges, all blood products are tested for infectious diseases prior to be transfused to another person.
Absolutely yes. Further, most donated blood is sold to make various medicines, rather than for transfussions (something very few blood doners know, btw). Those drugs can also infect you with AIDS. For example, most hemophiliacs died of AIDS during the last decade or so because the drugs to treat their condition were all contaminated. The blood banks in general and the Red Cross in particular absolutely refused to test the blood supply even though it became obvious it was a major source of infection. Shamefully, they were allowed to settle the lawsuits that followed from those deaths for about four or five thousand dollars per person killed by this negligence. That example of shameful greed by institutions controlled by liberals is why I absolutely refuse to give blood.
