First see a therapist who specializes in this field and can relate to what you're feeling. Regular doctors don't get it! Go from there. Panic/Anxiety disorder only gets worse if you don't treat it; either by learning how to control them instead of them controlling you, or by drug therapy prescribed by your Dr.

it's a matter of personal attempts.. I've been suffering with serious panic attacks for a few years.. usually, I'll try to breathe through it, remember that I've felt this way many times and that I was always fine and that I'll be fine again. it took some work, but now they are shorter and less intesnse.. it's still scary, though.
try meditation or, if you still need help, try a doctor.. sometimes you need just a little med for a little white to 'reset' yourself.
I believe it is about your perspective I have a parent that suffers from this condition and I my self have had to overcome it. Some ideas on why we get panic attacks are that we had a traumatic episode that triggered them, or we were scarred mentally at a critical time in our development which caused us to view the world has a threatening place. The way I was able to overcome my fears was to try new experiences (take baby steps) each experience teaches and empowers us. Breathe! It really is more important than you think slow diaphragmatic breathing (stomach expands with inhalation contracts with exhalation) I learned to asses the situation, (is this really a threat or not?)And I learned to not be reactionary (defensive). Last thing sometimes people around you are creating insecurity instead of building confidence life’s too short to burden yourself with negative people.
