questions about after sudgery?!

Question: HOW LONG AFTER ANKLE SURG CAN U ACTIVELY WALK AND HOW LONG BEFORE U GET BACK TO WHATEVER NORMAL IS THANKS
Answers:
Depends upon the type of surgery. I had ankle surgery and had to learn to walk all over again when I broke my ankle and leg - several times - and was told that I would never walk again 'normal'. I walk, without a cane and only with a limp if I am very tired.

It all depends upon the amount of pain one can withstand, how much therapy, and how much they are willing to do.

learn how to spell and then i will tell you.
What is sudgery?
depends on how fast u heal and what type of surgery u had but this i can tell u physical therapy is extremely important go to it try as hard as u can and stick with it till ur done later in life u will be glad u did
It really depends on what kind of surgery you had. You really should be asking your doctor. Ankle surgery for a fracture then about 6 weeks actively walking probably about 8 weeks for normal activity. Just take it slow and let it heal.

Work in an orthopaedic surgeon's office for 10 years
well, i had surgery six months ago and it took three months to become normal.
That will depend on how extensive the ankle surgery is. It takes longer to recover from have a pin put in the malleallous, because you broke it, than it does to recover from a nerve decompression for tarsal tunnel. It also depends on how hard you work at making it strong and mobile again. Everyone is different. You need to talk with your doctor. He will know more. Also if your doctor has you do physical therapy, you can speak with the therapist. Good luck with the surgery and recovery!
It depends on what DR says. If you dont listen what he tells you YOU DO MORE HARM THAN GOOD.
why didn't you ask your doc?
Ask your doctor what he or she says. than do what they tell you. Also for your information its surgery NOT sudgery.
USUALLY IT IS 6WK BUT NOW THEY CAN DO DIF KINDS AND IT HEALS FASTER SO JUST BE PREPARED FOR 6 WKS

what the hell is sudgery?!
first thing to do is to lose some weight
Depends on the surgery. After internal surgery, you better lay up for a while and let your body heal. If it's orthopedic surgery, maybe not as long, maybe more. If it's your legs, you might need physical therapy. I had to learn to walk again. My hip was broken, but I injured my brain and that was the real problem to overcome. Still getting there, but I can deal with it now.
There is no normal. Everybody is dealing with something. No matter what your beef is, you're not alone. Just keep going and you'll be fine.
sounds to me he already asked his doc and didn't like what he said. lol do u have pins in it or what? first thing is don't over do it because if u do u'll just end up on the O.R. TABLE AGAIN! 2 go to all yor physical therapy i know it's a drag and u think that u can do this faster but listen to them they know what they are talking about 3 rest it can take up to six to eight weeks just a broken bone to heal with out having a surgeon involved so just rest it or u'll end up with a messed up ankle for life and listen to yor doc there is a reason he drives a sports car and gets paid the big bucs lol
That will depend on many factors. Things like the extent of the injury being treated, your health prior to the surgery (things like diabetes, high blood pressure, weight), complications during the procedure, and your body's ability to heal.

You may be walking without much discomfort in as little as 2 weeks, or you may be in pain (5+ of 10) at 6 weeks.

My advice is to talk to your doctor, and then follow all instructions to the letter. Do any and all physical therapy you are given. Wear any brace/cast they put you in. The Doctor has spent thousands of dollars and years in school to learn how to treat your medical needs.

Best of luck!
