What is the best OTC pain reliever for a pinched nerve?!


Question: I have a piched nerve in my spine that cause pain and tigling in my arms. The doctor told to take over the counter pain reliever and wait until it heals on its own. What has anyone else with this problem taken that has reaaly helped them?

I have had a similar injury.
My Dr prescribed Ibuprofen 600 mg every 4 hrs ..
You can get 200mg over the counter and use what your Dr tells you. It acts as a pain reliever and anti-inflamitory and may get you through healing.

Other Answers:
I use Motrin, it seems to work the best for me.
You can also try a creams with either acetilsalicylic acid or capsaicin.
Aleve works wonders on my back
