Do you think I have an anxiety disorder?!

Question: I tend to get really anxious about a lot of things and worry a lot. I read that drinking soda and coffee makes it worse so I stopped drinking caffeine. I haven't felt as anxious since then, but I still get just a little bit. But before. I would get really jittery and my heart would beat fast. I think the worse too. I thought my boyfriends parents were lying to me, and they weren't and thats caused us loads of problems. SO. Do you think I have an anxiety disorder and what are some non medical ways to treat? Relaxation. Yeah.
Answers:
It sounds possible that you have an anxiety disorder. Seeing a doctor or psychologist would help. You may want to check out http://www.stresscenter.com and take the free quiz there.
A great way to overcome stress and anxiety without drugs it through cognitive therapy. There are programs like the Midwest Center for Stress and Anxiety that you can buy to learn these techniques or you can go to therapy. There is a lot of help out there because there are millions of people with the same symptoms. Good luck and there is hope

If you have to ask then yes you prob do. The majority of americans have this now days. Stress and anxiety take over our lives. It may be a short term thing though since you were having probs. good luck and stay away from the caffeine it can wig you out!
Sounds like it, go get some anti-anxiety meds like Ativan, it's not real strong, but does the trick for minor anxiety situations. Or another solution is smoke some weed. Just ask Willie Nelson what he does for stress & anxiety.
first off......calm down

now do this all the time.....

calm down...sshhh...calm dowm.....your ok
I think yu have a slight anxiety diorder i dont think its as bad as some peoples but you shoul try to take a REALLY hot bath at night with lavender candles.the scent helps you to relax..and sit in there for a couple hours.or if not that excercise works too but that takes longer to show results
the best way to really find out is to go to the doctor
There is a natural herb you can buy over the counter that many people swear by called St. John's Wort. Also, medical experts say it can work in some people. Sounds like you have natural problems that many young women have. It gets better as you get older and more mature in you thinking processes. Maybe you could do something you like to do to get your mind off of little things that upset you. Do something for "YOU" and forget about what other people think..especially people you have no control over. If things don't get any better see a doctor. If you're tired, have eating problems, losing/gaining weight, thinking about harming yourself or others you will need professional help. Good you stopped the caffeine; it can make you a nervous wreck! Now get out and do something nice for yourself, ok? Blessings to you!

Try getting a grip and thinking logically. Remind youself that your state of mind isn't rational and control it.
You can try Yoga , meditation . Or just sit in dark room and focus in the darkness, I found that very relaxing. Dont let your mind wander , because when it wanders its the devil that enters and makes it think what it shouldn't.

All the best.
I think that your first call should be your doctor. You may have a anxiety disorder but it maybe a worry from another part of your life that is resulting in the symptoms of anxiety, or medication all of which your doctor could best advise. There are non medication ways of treating it and meditation and yoga are very good for reducing the stress. I know that it feels overwhelming when you feel anxious but with the right treatment it will go away.

Good luck
