How do you stop yourselves from overeating?!

Here are a few suggestions.
1) try to keep yourself busy.
2) have more meals but in smaller portions.
3)Start reading what your putting into your body. This will shock you and make you think twice about having something you know you shouldn't.
4) Eat more fruits. They are more filling and better for you.

It is all a mind game.you just HAVE to practice self control.

Have you ever overeaten and then had that really full, yucky feeling afterward.even felt guilty? Remember that feeling the next time you want to go gorge yourself and remind yourself you don't want to feel that way again. You have to train your mind to trigger this memory!

Only eat what you put on your plate and make sure you only put "healthy" portions on your plate and never EVER eat out of a bag.

You just have to have self control. It can be very hard for some people! I am a junk food junky, so even if I am full, sometimes, I will continue to eat junk food! It's a terrible thing, but I am learning to control myself. I find it simalar to quiting smoking (and I get just as moody too)!
willpower..only put a certain amount of food on your plate..if you have to have 2nd's make your first helping smaller than one portion.have dessert once a week so you don't overdo it and go crazy with sweets. Drink lots of water (or tea).lay off soda and coffee unless needed for a quick pick me up but if you drink water you will be more alert anyways. water will help fill your stomach up.take more time eating.

I was never able to do this! I overate all the time:( But then I found Overeaters Anonymous, and have not found it necessary to binge eat now for over 2 years.

Go to a gym and walk on the treadmill for an hour. See that at a reasonable pace, you are probably only burning 300-600 calories depending on speed and incline. 300-600 calories for one hour of moderate exercise. Now, after doing that, you realize it is easier not to eat it in the first place.
To stop yourself from over eating you have to have self control and disipline. But to help yourself out you can have smaller meals in the daytime, and increase the amount of meals a day to four meals a day. This will help so you are not so hungry a couple of hours after a meal. This also speeds up metablism's. So good luck and have fun.
