Answers:
Sit-ups will help your muscle tone, but only if you do them right. Most people don't and they end up using thier back muscles instead of their abs. Can you feel the burning in your abs? If so you're probably doing them right. However, muscle tone can't become visible until the layer of fat over the muscles is thinned. If you have a pot belly, you'll probably need to try an over all fatk-busting program to bring tone to your abdominal muscles. Try doing cardio. You don't necessarily need to change your diet, but doing cardio will boost your metabolism and breakdown your fat storages. You'll get results a hundred times faster this way than by doing sit ups alone.
If you don't want to do cardio, at least vary your ab exercises. Get one of those videos, you can get them from the library, or do side situps and leg lifts to tone more than one muscle in your abs.

I hope this helps!

just do sit ups when you go to bed at night or do crunches. do them for about 5 mins - about 10 sits up and start increasing as u get use to them.
I would reccomend an ab exercise video, they can do killer combinations to really burn it up. It may take a month, but it will work!
Sit ups is the way to go. Start with a small amount, like maybe 20 or so, and do them once a day for about a week until the pain goes away and they don't hurt anymore. Then add maybe 10 or 15 more every week until you get the results you want. it will work eventually. some people do over 300 a day (ugh!) good luck!
Sit ups are the best and I used to do them at night before I went to bed . about 100 per night .. but you have to make that you're not using your lower region of your body .. trying getting someone you know to show you what you might be doing wrong .. its all in the shoulders not the neck. and having your legs in the right position. good luck!:)

sit ups lots and lots of situps
doing sit ups wont help that much. The only way is to lower your Body Fat. Try walking or runing.
Do 3 sets of 60-100 crunches daily.
you can't get a flat stomach and not lose weight. have you ever seen an overweight person with a six-pack?
Here is what you need to do, if you are serious about losing weight and keeping it off. Eat 6 small meals a day about every 4 hours. Here what that will do for you, your metabolism will increase (i.e. Loose weight) and you will have more engry. If you go on a diet and eat less, your metabolism will slow down and store to fat. That is why diets dont work. Only the size of your fist, carbs (examples:baked potato, pasta, oatmeal, beans, corn, melon, apples, fat free yogurt, whole wheat breads)in one and protien (examples:chicken breast, swordfish, shrimp, turkey breast) in the other. You can also eat vegetables and salads with any meal, they dont have none or little fat). 30min cardo exercise every day. Any of these(examples: walking, jogging, swimming, running, biking, ect), Monday cardo, tues upper body (arms: curls, tricep extensions, pull ups, front press)(abdominals: leg pull crunch, leg raises), (chest: bench press, butterfly, pullover)(shoulders: front press, arm pullover, cross county skier machine)(back:seated row, lat pull downs, back extension)(YOU DONT HAVE TO DO IN ONE DAY, mix it up) wed cardo, thurs lower body (legs: leg pull, leg press, squats, lounges) fri cardo, sat upper. Sunday eat anything you want and dont exercising, you do this on sunday so your body doesnt go into starvation mode. YOU NEED TO TAKE SUNDAY OFF. If you stilck with this you will have a great body. also drink aleast 8oz of water daily! Stay away from Mcdonals, Wendys, ect because there is nothing good for you on the menu's even the salads are bad (beaon bits, cheeze, dressing, ect) Good Luck :)
