r contact lenses harmful to eyes.if i use them for more than 14 hrs in a day?!
Question: i gen use my contact lenses more than 14 hrs in a day.i ve -7 no of my eys.so thoser neccessary.i don like to wear specticles.i flt dryness too somtime.please suggest me

no just make sure your lens are always moist so that they don't dry up on you. if not u could also get the new contact lens out there that u can wear all day and night.

it doesnt give your eyes time to breathe free of lenses. its actually healthy to take them out after 8 hours or so and rinse your eyes with saline then go without for an hour or so. Then out them back in. The dryness in your eyes is becuase they ahve been in too long.
This differs with hard lenses as to soft lenses. heck with your optometrist to maek sure its not doing any harm to your lenses or eyes.

Wearing your contacts for a long period of time won't hurt your retina (that's at the very back of your eye). It could hurt your cornea (the very front of the eye). This isn't a black & white issue because it depends greatly on the person and on the type of contact lens. You should be following your eye doctor's instructions about wear time and care. If you're still concerned that you're wearing them too long, ask your eye doctor if you can wear one of the new silicone hydrogel lenses (Acuvue Advance or Oasys, Pure Vision, Night & Day, or O2 Optix) that give your eyes more oxygen.
