there are all types and it really a matter of personal choice. african pride range is good and its got different types of products you can choose from. Heads and shoulders shampoo, though not strictly for the kinky hair type, i have discovered it works well for dandruff and permed hair. av also tried palmolive shampoo with coconut and i love the smell and my hair comes out feeling rili washed!
Johnson Products have a full line, they are the people who publish jet magazine, Ebony, and just browsing for products who cater to black americans. Oriental shops always carry a good line
I use this tri-wheat formula my mom ordered off tv (www.ecoly.com-Queen Latifa Uses it!) and it doesn't leave my hair with that straw-feeling. But for something in wal-mart or a store close to you try Optimum brand shampoo. They have the BEST conditioner I have ever tried before. For everyday, I use this Breakthrough hair lotion. For Dandruff, use this stuff called Top Brass you can find in Obscure Drugstores and some barber shops. Keep it in for about two days and rinse, and you will be dandruff free for about a month. It is unpleasant to wear though, but its a small price to pay.
