Let me give you some calculations.

1 pound of fat is equal to 3500 calories

Take your body weight and times it by 15. This is the caloric level you would have to keep at everyday to stay at the weight you are now.

Then, reduce that caloric intake by 500 calories a day. In 1 week you have reduced your intake by 3500 calories which is equal to 1 pound.

If you did no exercise at all and just did this, you would lose about 1 pound a week just by using the calories you need to keep your body alive.

Now, seeings how you are working out. You will probably burn these added calories faster. This means you could probably lose about 2 pounds a week. That is a good way to do it.

Your first week will probably lose a lil bit more because of water weight lost.

Now for another angle. All of this working out and reducing calories will not make much difference if you are not eating the right foods.

Eat a good 3 meals a day. Make sure at those 3 meals you are eating 20 grams of protein and veggies. Eat this before you eat anything else in your meal. Eggs , lean meats, tuna, fish and lots of veggies. Reduce your carb/sugar content. It will hinder your progress and give you many more complications if you do not reduce them.

Supplements. Working out kills off alot of electrolytes. Get lots of fluid intake. Get a very good supplement. Take extra vitamin C and make sure you are getting enough green leafy veggies. The greener the better. Working out can put a weight on your thryoid. Watch that one. Make sure you are getting a enough iodine in your diet.

A very good book I recommend is called *protein power* its a whole lot more than its title lets on. Its one of the best nutrition health books ive ever read. It even has recipes and is written so the layman can understand it.

8800 calories.
It depends on the individual but a ball park figure would be about 7500 Kilo calories. Now, before you freak out, calorie spelt with a capital C means 1000, in other words 250 Calories is, in reality 250,000 calories. The problem with working out as you call it, is that if the exercise is too intense you will NOT burn fat but glycogen in the muscles. Diet is the number 1 factor in weight loss. Working out will only maintain your fitness and agility, it will not burn fat unless it is very low intensity and prolonged. Similar to a caveman having to go out and hunt his food. Aerobic exercise will not result in fat burning. Jules, Australia.
