Or! Actually, you could have the birth control shot, on that you will never have a period, and you only have to get the shot once every 3 months.

A hysterectomy isn't an elective surgery, so unless you are having other problems good luck finding a doctor who will agree to do surgery. But you can ask your GYN to subscribe Seasonale birth control pills. You only have a period 4 times a year. That's right, once every 3 months as oppossed to monthly. I've been on it for a year, no cramping, no heavy flows, and mood swings limited to just before.

I sounds like you may have some thing going on with your hormones. I have a similar problem, its a little diffrent. Have you ever tried Chinese Medicine? It really works) Or you could check out a natural foods grocery store, like Whole Foods. They have certified and trained workers that may help you diagnois what is going on and treat it in a natural way. Another thing is Have you ever had any kind of vaginal cancer? or is there a history of this type of condition within your family? Sisters,Aunts,Grandmothers? Just for your own sake I would see a doctor. What type of other help have you looked into?
i don't recommend the depo birth control shot. it causes spotting for up to the first year, and if you are only taking it to prevent periods, it does not work. but the other suggestion about the endometriosis seems helpful.

The best way to stop having a period without subjecting yourself to hormones that make you gain lots of weight(depo-provera shot)or without invasive surgery (hysterectomy) is Endometrial ablation.the endometrial lining of the uterus is destroyed. This surgery controls very heavy bleeding, and you cannot become pregnant so you don't have to worry about birth control. check out webmd.com. Also you can't just "get" endometrosis. You either have it or you don't.
