Hi Jinnie,
To start with, what you are going through is completely normal so you don't have to go through this alone. Here are some UK services that will help you learn more about postnatal depression and help you in case you would like to talk to someone about it:

http://www.pni.org.uk/

http://www.bluebellday.org.uk/index.asp?p=1

Here is a factsheet that you might find useful: http://www.bluebellday.org.uk/Factsheet.pdf

http://www.mothersbliss.com/life/pnd.asp

http://www.mama.co.uk/

www.depressionalliance.org/

or www.dascot.org/
for Scotland.

There are many good books out there too that can give you more professional advice and can be easy to read since in depression concentration can be a bit tricky.

I would also suggest talking about it to your GP of course if you feel it is overwhelming. It would be useful to let other family members know so that you get the support you might need.

Hope this is helpful, and congratulations for your baby.

seek some medical help. Dont be afraid to explain all this to a professional. It is serious. I know someone that had it so severly, she harmed baby. Don't wait your hormones can be all out of wack. Good Luck!
This will pass eventually it is just due to your body changing after the baby was born which i am sure you already know, some women can suffer for over a year after their babies are born. I think the best thing to do is go see you gp and explain that you are not getting any better and he will be able to help you to stop feelin like this
You should really go and see a doctor. I am sure it will pass but you need your sleep and your life back again for you and your child's sake. There are many forms of medication that you can get it could be post natal depression or some other kind but you do need to talk to a professional Good Luck
True, in most cases this should pass on it's own, but there is no shame in asking for a bit of help. Also, in some cases this will not pass without treatment and will turn into a chronic condition. This should be a happy time for you and your baby and you deserve to be able to enjoy it.
Please go and at least talk to your OB/GYN or your family doctor. Good luck.
You might not get out of this on your own. Pp blues are normal, but they don't last that long. This is pp depression, which needs to be treated. I am sorry that you are going through this. It must be really hard. Medicine can seriously help. Talk to a Dr. preferably a psychiatrist, if not even your OB doctor can help.
