I have a lump on the place where my tooth extracted 2 days ago. Is there somethi!

Question: I did heavy house chores yesterday and I really get tired and today theres a lump on the place where my tooth extracted. I'm relly worried. Is that only normal?
Answers:
I am a dentist.

It depends. The answer is likely, "no, don't be worried".

Some idiot above me said you need antibiotics, but is probably oblivious of the fact that infections typically don't develop until 4 to 5 days after the surgery.

The lump could be a lot of things. It could be simply swelling. It could be a small hematoma. It could be granulation tissue building up. It's hard to say. See your dentist to have it evaluated.

Other Answers:
yes but you need antibiotics for it
leave it alone, its a blood clot sealing the area and aids the healing process
It was an extraction and there was a tooth there. Rince with salt water as often as possible. Carry salt with you. It should go down in a few days. The iodine will rinse the area..
