Is it normal to feel a pain in your heart when you cough?!

Question: I'm a 17 year old boy.

Well. I have these horrible allergies, and I have to cough like every 20 seconds. It's this horrible, dry, raspy cough.

When I do cough, I feel this weird pressure in my heart. It's not overly painful, but I can definitley feel it. It goes away right when I am done cough. I'm not short of breath, or anything. As far as I'm aware, I'm totally healthy.

Do you think that I have a problem? Is this pain normal?

Thanks for your help, guys!
Answers:
It's not normal to feel pain when you cough unless you are coughing really hard, if you are not having troubles breathing that's good, but you might want to ask your doctor what could be causing this sudden pain when you cough. You could have emphysema or congestion in your lungs.

Chest pain could be pneumonia. Visit the doc, dude!
any time you feel a hart pain its a good idea to go get it cecked out if you can .
It could be a muscle spasm in your chest..or it could be a heart palpitation.these are usually harmless and feel like fluttering in your chest or you heart skips a beat.scary but usually harmless..next time, tell your mom or dad,,,,a doctor can put you mind at ease.good luck
Could be costocondritis. My wife has that. Costocondritis
The idiopathic form of costocondritis is called Tietze syndrome. There is pain in the costal cartilage, often localised. It is enhanced by motion, coughing or sneezing.

It's happened to me before I don't think its any big deal, but I'm not a medical expert. But hey I'm still alive right?
nop this not a normal cough. i think this is due to deficiency of water. sometimes it happens to me also. but you should consult a doctor now rather than late aas if it would be serious problem you wuold be better now or it will hmmmmmmm......understo.
I'm not a Dr and you really should ask them this, but I have asthma and when I was younger my symptoms were very similar. I'd see a dr. just to be sure. So many young people are dying from conditions they didn't know they had-conditions that are very treatable. Not to say you could have anything wrong, but you'll rest easier once you know.
Yes the pain is normal it will go in sometime. if it is very regular visit the doctor.
