Depending on how closed it is you could apply pressure just where the cartelidge connects to the bone which will shrink the blood vessals in the nose and give some relief.

mix a teaspoon of salt into a quart of warm (not hot) water. put some in a little cup and hold it under your nose, tilt your head back with the cup and try to sniff the water in. obviously, this should not be done in little kids who might have a choking risk. it doesn't feel the greatest but it is very effective at helping congestion to go away faster. blow your nose before you do it.
Closed Nose? Just remove the nose plugs or objects!
