I used to be afraid of the dark because I was afraid of the moon. I thought that it had something like a twin brother and when it did come out in my dreams I thought it was gonna kill me or something. It just freaked me out way too much but now I'm over it. But I was also afraid of cell phone towers, bulldozers and slugs.
I think fear of darkness is similar to fear of uncertainty.

Sometimes I am. I am scared because I think that a robber is going to come in and hurt me. I've heard it on the news so many times about how some one came in someone else's house and killed all the people inside. I don't know if I will be the next victim. I'm getting over it though. I force myself to sleep in the dark, and I pray every night to GOD to keep me and my family safe. Now, I am not scared of the dark so much.

really, really afraid, but more so in some places than others, i think it was when i was little i stayed in malta for a year and i was convinced the house was haunted and that i would see things when i opened my eyes,like the time i heard footsteps and they got louder and i thought i was half asleep so i had a sip from the glass at the side of my bed and as i went to put my head down i saw a pair of shoes and they turned to face kmy bed of course i freaked out but then when we moved back here it's a lot darker at night and i would wake up in the middle of night and worry that i just can't see them, stupid i know but that has progressed to me at 22 sleeping with the light on, unless i'm in my boyfs bed.
