Why do my eyes water?!

Question: For the past two years my eyes have watered horribly the second I stepped outside of the house, regardless of season, elevation, weather, state (I've lived in Utah, CA, Mass., TX, VA).
Answers:
There are two basic reasons why eyes water. Eyes can water if the tear ducts are blocked. You can have surgery to solve this problem but sometimes the results are less than completely successful. Tears are also a reaction to something irritating the surface of the eyes. The irritation can be allergy, air pollution, infection, scratches on the surface of the eye, and even dry eye.

Allergies. (not just the sneezing couffing etc.) Allergies are your bodies mechanism to expell what it thinks as harmful invaders. However tehse invaders are not harmful like dog hair etc. Your eyes water because your body thinks that viruses are invading your body
allergies is what it sounds like to me. I have them really bad and I have to take Clariton for it.
Your eyes might easily become dried out and the watering attempts to protect and moisturize your eyes. Allergens might also cause you problems. Many people react to the outdoors regardless of where they live or the season it is.
Its your eyes cleaning themselves I guess. Mabey you have allergys.
It does sound a lot like allergies. You may or may not have other allergy symptoms (sneezing, runny nose, etc). If it's just affecting your eyes, you should consult your eye doctor. He/she can help you get to the root of the problem and prescribe an appropriate treatment (which might include oral anti-allergy meds and/or eyedrops).
