Why do people get styes in our eyes?!
Question: I had a stye in my eye a couple of months ago in the corner. It is very sore and when I blink it hurts very much. Now, I have one again and just was wondering if anyone out there has an answer on how and why we can get them and maybe why so often. Please I do need answers..

Styes are caused by a blocked tear duct. It's kind of like a pimple, caused by dirt, oils, etc. Do not try to pop it, it can be dangerous to do so. Apply as hot a cloth to it as you can withstand several times a day, this will help to unclog and draw out the bacteria. Also, keep your hands away from your face, get enough sleep, and try to avoid stress.

It's a bacterial infection of a hair follicle that an eyelash is growing from. If you are putting mascara or eyeliner on and getting regular styes, that could be why.
