Liquid / Gel Soap

2 cups soap flakes or grated bar soap
1/2 gallon water
2 tbsp glycerin
Mix ingredients together in a large pot or dutch oven. Set over low heat, stirring occasionally until the soap has dissolved. Transfer to a jar and cover tightly. For a less thick gel soap, use 1 gallon of water.

Other Answers:
I've heard that you can collect left over pieces of bar soap, put them in a pump container with water and it will act like liquid hand soap.
Also you might try Google there are probably some recipes for it on there.
why r u being sooooooooooooooooooooooooo cheap??...you could buy one for 99 cents....
I FIND THE BEST HAND SOAP IS PALMOLIVE DISHWASHING DETERGENT.
IT WILL END UP BEING CHEAPER THAN ANYTHING YOU CAN CONCOCT.
IT'S INEXPENSIVE AND VERY CONCENTRATED.
I USUALLY DILUTE IT 1-TO-1 WITH WATER.

AND IT'S EASY ON THE SKIN.
You should not do that. Police will think that you try to produce explosives using nitroglycerine.

Best regards.
I can tell you that there are two basic methods used: Paste method, and Alcohol/lye method. Explaining each method in enough detail to keep you safe would take a book! However, there are two books I'd recommend which deal with the subject. The Soapmaker's Companion by Susan Miller Cavitch is published by Storey Publishing and is an excellent book dealing with all aspects of producing handmade soaps. The other book is called Making Natural Liquid Soaps and is written by Catherine Failor. It is also published by Storey Publishing.

You can contact Storey Publishing by mail at: Storey Books, Pownal, Vermont 05261, USA. Or, you can look at their website at: www.storeybooks.com.

Google it. Don't listen to people about being cheap. I prefer to use handmade stuff as well. That way you know exactly what you put in it.
ur better off buying it, itll come out cheaper
