The US Supreme court reuled that the EPA's statements on 2nd hand smoke were junk science and false. 2nd Hand smoke is nothing but a myth. This was in 1998, yet people still 'want' to believe it, so they perpetuate the lie that 2nd hand smoke kills.

Because in addition to breathing the smoke, passive smokers are too stupid to get up and walk out of the room..not a good combination!
Assuming you are speaking of second hadn smoke, the reason is that the smoke that comes from the cigerette of the lite end is much more toxic then the smoke that go through the filter.
I also think that you are talking about second hand smoke.I understand that the smoke from the end of the cigarette is more dangerous. however, the smoker is closest to that smoke, and therefore inhales not only the filter smoke when smoking, but also the end of the cig smoke that is more dangerous. That's why that explanation and that whole theory seems pretty dumb to me.
Smoke condenses into larger particles which are harder on the lungs. If you smoke in your home you inhale smoke all of the time rather then just when you smoke.

Passive smoking is the formal (or former) name for second hand smoke and I have always thought exactly what music_girl just said. It makes no sense.
