after menopause.does a womans vagina dry up?!

Question: my guy friends and i can usually talk about anything and one day they asked me that..i am at a loss. and i dont have the guts to ask my gynacologist.i know its a weird/gross question, but now i am curious too!
Answers:
Yes, eventually all lubrication that the vagina produces "dries up". The hormone levels are altered, so things change, ovaries shrink away, the uterus gets smaller, and you stop producing fluid.

Other Answers:
When a woman has had her ovaries removed and not gone on hormone replacement it can cause very painful vaginal dryness. I would guess it could be the same for natural menopause.
No. You can have a decrease of lubrication from too low levels of Estrogen. Also the walls of the Vagina can become thinner for the same reason.
