Question: What will likely happen if bird flu hits the USA?

the worst fear is that the mutation. You may be aware that already one more variant has beep spoted and naturally, people die whom so ever consumes the infected bird. consequently poultry industry would die and as a direct effect of it the poultry feed and other ones in line. Doctors may make some quick buck till they feel the infection would not harm them. Where it will end a billion dollar question

There will be a run on tamiflu. People will stop eating chicken. Depending on what pet type dies of it first (most likely a cat), there will be mass donations of that animal type to shelters. There will be demands for immediate distribution of bird flu vaccine. The usual mob mentality idiocy.
I don't think so, this will be happen. They got everything so far under control in Europe and by the another places. I believe lately summer they have a vaccine for this issue anyway. Don't worry.

they will get rid of all chickens and disinfect everything that birds and chickens touch. Yes they is a lot of panic. and possibly deaths of devoted bird owners who won't give up their birds.
