What should I do with my life?!

Question: I am almost out of college with a BA in psychology and realize I don't want to go into psychology. I like the outdoors, I'm down to earth and laid back. I like being independent, I like being artistic. I like thinking deep. But I want to do something active.
I'm lost.
Answers:
Well, no one is going to pay you to "think deep". That just scares people in this plastic superficial world we live in.

How about a job at a museum or as a national park employee, a park ranger or educator at a park? Many state parks have programs or camps for day trippers, you could be an outside educator which would utilize some of your basic psychology skills also.

It sounds like you are pursuing the wrong field. You should be answering your own question.
what about art pyschology?
Try to find a degree in psychology. Or, try to find a job where you can be outdoors, or a job where being artistic can help. Get a degree in art or go get help with a career counselor.
Art therapy, and in your free time, go mountain climbing, coach a kids sports team
U know it looks like you and me are in the same boat. I am a psychology major too, and I realized I don't want to be in this field at all. Wow, I am artistic, like to be independent and like to think deep too. I am looking to go into art school one day. I am planning for it. I researched the schools in my city already. I will be exploring the design field since I feel I might do well there. So is there a field that comes to mind that you'd wanna explore? Sometimes we don't have excat answers, but don't be afraid to explore *likely* areas. Make a list of occupations that you know if that you'd wanna explore further. And then read up on that, talk to people in that field, see what requirements they need to have for u to qualify working there. See if you need to go to school for that.

Here's a link to the Occupational Outlook Handbook, latest edition.

If you click on A-Z Index, you will see all the occupations listed. And details about that particular occupation too. See if anything appeals to you.

You could also go to the career center and see if they have those tests available which highlights your talents and interests. That might be helpful.

All the best! Just don't be afraid to explore and see what you enjoy best. You can always change your path if it's not for you. But it's imp. you step out and explore it first.
Even volunteering sounds good.
just get out with that degree - you might not want to work in the field now, but you might need it later.

take your degree, then take philosophy, art, and environment courses. if money's a problem, take them at the community college - with your degree you can pick and choose what you want to do with your life.

good luck to you
Psychology is a good start for almost anything. Get a summer job as a camp counselor and that could lead to many other prospects. Whatever you do, you should find joy in doing it.
By all means finish collage first!

If you feel the same way after you've finished school, then take a very long walk in the deep woods. Once you come across your first steep cliff, look down and think deeply about how artistic it would look when your body is splattered all over the bottom after you jump off.
Grow weed. Lots of money in that. You didn't hear it from me.
Follow your heart i no it sounds sissy but its true. and trust your instics about people and things.
