how do hormones affect seizures?!
Question: i am in the process of getting my seizure meds up to a theraputic level.
this is rough enough, untill it is reached, i have to be cautious.
now i was told that during " that time of the month" seizures have a tendancy to escalate. then abate afterwards.
does any one wout ther know about the affects of hormones on seizrues?
( this is nuts to me,)
is it like how osme women pms really bad?
now i am scared all over again.

My daughter suffers from seizures and she is much more likely to have seizures just before she menstruates. It's just something about the hormones causing more activity in the brain. I don't really understand it, but I know it's true. Another thing that affects her is overworking herself. Doing too much at one time. when I'm around her, I try to keep her from too much strenuous activity.
