What's in shampoo that makes hair thicker?!

Question: Since hair is dead cells, how does shampoo make it "grow" thicker?
Answers:
cocamide monoisopropanolamide or sodium chloride or citrate

Other Answers:
your hair has several layers to it (individual hairs have layers from inside to outside) the outer most layer of the hair is called the cuticle. when your hair is flat ironed (i'm sure you know what this looks like) it is soft and shiny because the cuticle layer has been closed with heat.

all the thickening shampoos are doing are opening up the cuticle layer of the hair. (which is destroying the hair) when the cuticle layer is open all kinds of things get into your hair (like pollutants) and your hair gets dirtier faster and needs to be shampooed again because it's dirty, so you use the same shampoo (because that's what the commercials say to do) to do the same damage over and over again. it's a never ending cycle.

it IS, however, good for removing product build up if nothing else is around.

Hair gets thicker by being healthy. You achieve this by taking B vitamins, eating healthy, etc. shampoo's can fluff up the cuticle of your hair, but it will not actually 'be' fuller or thicker, it will only have the appearance of being so.
none at all
shampoo dusnt help.apply coconut oil at a warm temperature on your scalp and massage gently this improves blood circulation and promotes hair growth..but if you want to 'make it look' thick use a volume enhancement shampoo
