Is Gall Bladder removal the only option to treat gall bladder stone?!

Question:
Answers:
I had a gall bladder attack several years ago. They told me it would have to be removed surgically. I reduced my fat intake (in fact I stopped eating meat, fried stuff, etc.) and drank lots of liquids for the next few weeks. I slowly increased my intake of normal foods but maintained a healthy diet. I haven't had trouble since. I can only assume it disintegrated on its own.

if they are small enough, they can be passed out with waste, or sound wave therapy, somthing like that radio shock therapy? can break them down i think. look it up online
If the stones are small the doctor will tell you that you must pass them your self, however it needs to be checked out. If you have repeated stones or are looking jaundiced then removing the gall bladder is the best option over long term.
hi no you do not have to have it removed, they send shock waves to shatter them its a simple procedure no knives inc.
If the stone is blocking the common bile duct than yes you should have the gal-bladder removed. If you do not you may develop pancreatitis. Due to the blockage preventing the digestive enzymes produced in the pancreas reaching the small intestine. When this happens the pancreas begins to digest itself which is extremely painful and potentially deadly. Pancreatitis can have a high mortality rate if not treated early or if you have other underlying health issues. ie age, liver problems, diabetes and so on.....
However if there is no blockage and it is not causing any other health problems. You may just need to modify your diet ie. No Smoking, No Drinking, No Caffeine, No Spicy Foods, No Fatty Foods. If this does not work than do the surgery. It is relatively safe. Especially if you have no underlying health issues. Usually requires no "cutting", as most are done laproscopic, and usually requires no more than a one night stay if that.

Im a Nurse! ER/ICU I could list book sources but there are too many. I reccommend asking your doctor for sources that are written for non-medical people.
If doc says to go with surgery maybe you should.

I don't want to scare you in the least bit, just inform you. I had daily gall bladder attacks a couple of years ago. It didn't matter what I ate or drank I would have that attack multiple times daily. I ended up starving myself until my attacks came even when I didn't eat. Eventually it got to the point where the gall bladder infected my liver and pancreas. I nearly died. was hospitalized for 2 weeks to stabilize me for surgery. It was a fairly simple procedure and I was out and about rather quickly. It's a lot better to just have the surgery that to go through the horror I did.
