Yes actually it IS dangerous. Go to a dentist immediately. The bacterial infection could become systemic and kill you. No, I'm not joking at all. I know people who have died that way.

Yes, being a nurse i have seen cases like yours. not only is it painful but the infection you will get can cause multiple problems. heart included. you need a good antibiotic and more then likely a root canal to clean out the infection. Plus side.. pain med will help you sleep it off
Call a dentist right away. It can be dangerous to have a tooth that is swelling into other parts of your head. And super painful too! You think it's bad now, just wait. Call now. Call the emergency number that the message machine gives you.
see a dentist asap. My brothers wifes brothers girlfreind died from infection that spead into her blod and died! so be carefully. i woudl rahter not risk any infection for some small change!
Yes, this is a very dangerous condition. Go to the dentist or emergency room. ( A hospital can't refuse to treat you if you can't pay.) As the other writer said - Your absess tooth can kill you. Normally this happens after some time but it sounds like you may already be there.

Don't WAIT! -
You won't know if you have an abscess until you see a dentist. You can go to an emergency room, they will give you antibiotics, but they are not equipped to treat your tooth. If it is an abscess you will need the antibiotic to get rid of the infection. Then you will either need an ext (extraction) or an RCT (root canal treatment) followed with a post core and crown.
If you have a sinus infection, this can and often does cause sever pain. I see patients all the time who come in for emergency exams and it turns out to be a sinus infection.
Either way it should be checked immediately. Call your dentist and schedule an appointment. They will take a radiograph and that will enable them to diagnose your situation appropriately.
