When a child has diarrhea, they should be givenplenty of clear fluids, perferably pedialyte. Nothing fried or spicy, you can give them bananas, crackers, soup, yogurt can actually help ease the diarrhea, etc.

The BRAT diet is medically recomended.. Bananas.. Applesauce... Rice.. Toast.. I suggest pedialite to replenish their electrolites and you really should call the physician for their advise.
Drink small but frequent amounts of clear liquids for at least 24 hours to replace lost fluids. Clear liquids include: 7-Up or Sprite, Ginger Ale, Powerade (diluted 1/2 and 1/2 with water), herbal tea, Jello, Popsicles, and water. After 24 hours, you may try to eat a bland diet, but if diarrhea worsens, return to a clear liquid diet.
Avoid dairy products during episode of diarrhea and for 3 days after resolution.
Avoid spicy or highly seasoned foods (such as pizza, pepper, chili, tacos, onions, lasagna), greasy fried foods, hot dogs, lunch meats, raw fruits and vegetables. Also avoid caffeine, chocolate, and ice cold liquids.
Give them fluids or soups. Some soups have some noodles in them so they won't feel too hungry.
jell-O should be OK too.
Just make sure they don't get dehydrated !
