i think that there is a link between the DPT shot and autism. My son got his first DPT shot on Jan. 21. less than two weeks later he came down with spinal meningitis. that damaged his brain and he has severe autism. they have always claimed that there is no link but millions of parents have similar stories to mine. some states have now stopped putting one of those meds in the shot. Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis.
According to CDC report there has been no significant evidence that relates autism to the MMR vaccine. There has been some research into the MMR being linked to Crohns and other irritable bowels diseases- which they think may be linked to autism- but there isn't enough evidence to support their theories. The MMR is an important vaccine to get and its benefits greatly outweigh it's pitfalls.
