Chandler is right. Accupuncture originated in India and was taken to China by students who came to India to learn.
The pre-B.C. Indians were amazing. Did you know they performed brain and eye surgery? And assembled the largest botanical database that's every been found? And I bet you think psychiatry originated with Freud but it didn't. The ancient Ayurvedists actually had an entire branch of medicine devoted to "diseases of the mind".
