Relief for baby's rash caused by MMR Vaccine?!

Question: My 1 year old has developed a rash from her MMR (measles mumps rubella) vaccine. She's itchy and miserable, especially her face and arms. What can I use to soothe it?
Answers:
If your child develops a rash ((immediately or within four to eight hours after the measles shot)), or has any other symptoms of an allergic reaction, including difficulty breathing, swelling of the lips, or extreme weakness, call 911. These could be signs of anaphylactic shock, a life-threatening condition. This type of reaction is exceedingly rare but requires immediate medical attention.

They state 5% of children develop the rash If you see any of the above .Call the doctor and let her/him know .

To get rid of the itches use baking soda in tipped not hot water.

Hope this helps I worry because I used to take care of a 16 year old CP patient that had a vaccination when she was a baby and she had allergic reaction that caused her CP. So if your seeing high fevers and all see the doctor.

try going to WebMD.com
she is having a reaction to the shot and needs to see a doctor.
Contact your baby's doctor. In the meantime.keep it dry. Cool compress will give relief (put cold wet washcloth in plastic bag and pat on area). Refer to www.webmd.com

Don't use any medication before you speak to the doctor.
You must consult your doctor. Please do not take any other advise
sounds like she actually got the virus (like when you get a Flu shot, sometimes) have a doc. check her out for sure---as for diaper rash, put Vaselene on your baby after every diaper change and they'll never get diaper rash! (my daughter never did!)
