What do you mean? Do you mean a purity test? or a physical test, because there's no such test that can tell if someone's a virgin, but if you mean purity test then perhaps they are a bit thick and didn't realise whatever they did makes them less pure, who knows.

First off, they were probably insulted that you'd question their honesty about their virginity. Secondly, despite all the myths to the contrary, there is NO reliable test for virginity!
Because it is a very private matter during younder days or biblical times a woman who lost their virginity was stoned to death or outcasted. in some muslim countries today if a woman is not a virgin on her wedding nite she would be disgraced.
