how did ladys wear their make up in the 60's?!

we tried to look like anyone from england-THE MOD LOOK-anything in black,herringbone skirts or jumpers,boots,always black boots with 2inch heel.makeup like Twiggy or jen shrimpton[lots of mascara] and straight,straight hair.

Like clowns from what I remember,heavy,thick and way too much color for makeup. Clothes were what ever looked gaudy, in my opinion and hairstyles weren't that great either kinda like today!
