I have started walking and I am wanting to loose weight. I'm only 39. Any help!

Moving is the first step. Start eating smaller meals, about six a day. Just enough to keep the metabolism going but not enough to start storing fat. Also, stop eating 3 hours before bed. Keep increasing the distance and your walking pace. Slow and steady is the best way. When you lose quick you'll most likely gain it back plus more!
It is not enough of walking. Do an exercise that makes u sweat. Eat more vegetables, boiled food or steam food. Eat it when it is hot and most important take your dinner early by 6.30pm to 7pm. Do not take heavy dinner cause you don't work much at night and thats where your weight goes up.

You really need to burn more calories. Try the Elliptical Trainer at a gym. You can burn 100 calories in 11 to 12 minutes.
first of all you need to start slow *thumbs up for walking* get organised, start a well balanced diet plan, follow the food pyramid, check out if you have any allergies to certain foods, if need expert advise try a dietian, forget all those stupid no carb, canberry juice diets because they only work for short term. i am assuming that you want to lose weight and keep it off yeah? you also need determination and a goal plan, you need to know what to do and have a focused future. that will get you somewhere.

as you've heard many times before you need a balanced diet, im not saying keep the carbs but cut down on them, eat what you eat but in smaller portions, put a twist on your favourite foods ex. instead of full cram, used skim or something like that. eat lean meat, cut off skin and extra fats. heard of a "george foreman grill"? their really good, they grain all excess fats so you're only left with the good stuff.

dont skip breakfast because it will only increase your tendency to snack, eat a good lunch ( large ) and keep dinner small becasue you dont want to stress your stomach at night while you sleep. and of course chocolate is good for you but dont over do it. treat yourself to something nice once in a while, it'll make you appreciate it more
