is there any herbal medicine to help u get a good sleep?!

Question: l
Answers:
I wouldn't call it herbal, but there is melatonin, a natural chemical produced by the body wich helps control the sleep cycle, I use it whenever I need a good night sleep, and it works wonders. Unfortunately, most melatonin is made syntheticly.

Supplements and herbs
The supplements listed below may all provide immediate relief from insomnia, but unless otherwise stated, most should be used one at a time, not together. Try one to see whether it works for you. Rotate supplements every couple of weeks, and use only as needed, so you don't become too tolerant of any one.

Numerous studies have found valerian, among the most researched of all herbal supplements, to be an effective sleep aid. It works best when rotated with other sedating herbs, such as chamomile, kava, and passionflower. These herbs, taken as pills, teas, or tinctures, promote relaxation and reduce stress, making it easier to fall asleep.

An alternative to valerian is melatonin, a synthetic version of the body's own sleep hormone. It may be especially beneficial for people who can't sleep because of chronic pain. Valerian or melatonin can also be rotated with the neurotransmitter GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid), which inhibits nerve impulses and prevents stress-related messages from reaching the brain, or with 5-HTP (a form of the amino acid tryptophan), which raises levels of the sleep-inducing chemical serotonin.

In some instances, a nutrient deficiency, especially a lack of calcium, magnesium, or vitamin B6, can lead to sleep problems; replenishing those nutrients can be beneficial. The B vitamin niacinamide, taken with B6, is useful as well because it helps ease anxiety. It may be especially helpful to try magnesium or B6 along with 5-HTP.
