i need help quitting smoking cigs?!


Question: if u quit smoking how did u do it?i dont want to have to buy patches or gum i just want to quit how can i do it?and when u really need a cigarrete what do u do to get over the urge?

One day at a time, I threw all my cigarettes away and I stayed as far way from them as possible.
i know you can do it.you should you will feel so much better.just do it just stop.or get the patch or something.i am so proud of you.you can do it!
lower down how many packs you do in a day like if you do two remove 2 cigars everyday untill your out
my father had the same problem, i don't smoke, but what my dad did was not even think he smoked. ( not to mention everytime i saw a pack of them i threw them away.) but try to get someone to help you with it. like a best friend or something.

once i quit and made for 10 months without. but not one day went by that i didn't want a cig.

I got pregnant but I wouldn't suggest that solution for everyone. :)

When the urge hits, get up and do something. Go for a walk, tackle a small chore you've been putting off or even just go brush your teeth. Also, avoid the things that make you want to smoke. For me, it was my morning coffee and talking on the phone.
cold turkey is the way to go and chewing gum but only mint not nicotine drink loads of water to flush the toxins out of your system and think of something you would love to buy but cant afford because you smoke and put your cigarette money away and buy it

The best way is to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and He'll give you victory over that.
You won't believe this but when you get an urge take an unlit cig and put in in your fingers and continue doing what you are doing.Don't light it.And while the cig is in your hands the urge will pass.It is a psychological thing.I discovered this quite by accident.
