It is my understanding that the current version of bird flu isn't the problem, it is what the bird flu will be like when it has evolved into a version that can jump species - and as it hasn't happened yet, we don't have a vaccine.

It isn't difficult to treat bird flu if you know where to look. Mother nature has given us colloidal silver, olive leaf concentrate, and grapefruit seed extract among others
as very potent anti-virals they can't be patented so thats why the big drug companies ignore and downplay them. Study up on them online.
Basically we have no treatment for flu. Any type of flu. Drugs like tamiflu are generic anti flu drugs that target the symptoms, and not the actual virus. The way we normal combat flu is by vaccinating vunerable people BEFORE they get the flu. However as someone said previously, the problem here is that H5N1 needs to mutate before it becomes a serious threat to humans, and so we dont know excately waht it will mutate into, and so we cant make any vaccines.

The drugs we have can be hit a miss mainly due to the length of time after infection the drugs are given and the patients own health levels; people with a good immune system are more likely to be treated sucessfully
