what acne cream works best to prevent and eliminate acne?!

Question: i'm a 13 yearold girl and i need an acne cream that eliminates current acne and keeps it from coming back. i've tried oxy (which made my skin very dry and unhealthy), and nutragena "on the spot", which doesn't really work. any advice?
Answers:
I'm also 13, and Proactiv helps me. U could also try Epiclear, or Clean and Clear scrub wipes. I use all of this, and it seems to work for me.

Other Answers:
NONE. Acne comes from the inside. Change your diet and take more vitamin A. Consult a physician before starting any vitamin regimen.
My son had a bout with acne and ProActive worked really well for him.
try pro-active, or naturally fair
depending on your budget, proactive is very good. try bodyshop's tea-tree oil soap.
Oxy and Clearasil are good, too.
well if ur parents can purchase it, i wld suggest the pro-active cream that jessica simpson is advertising.my brother had great results with it.good luck hun

my brother has acne
try something with benzoyl peroxid in it. and NOT sylic acid.
I know several people who have used Proactiv Solution with great success.

If topical treatments just aren't working, there is an oral tablet called "Accutane" which may work for you. Consult a dermatologist.

Proactiv, the stuff works!

It'll dry out your skin, but just use Cetaphil skin moisturizer. Keep it in your purse/bookbag and apply it if needed. I used to have mild acne when I was 17-18 and that stuff got rid of most of it, but there were some stubborn spots that I had to go on Accutane to get rid of.
astringent you can buy it at walmart and tardet and walgreens and cvs its great
Everyone's skin reacts differently because we all have different chemical balances and so it is hard to determine which is best for you. Maybe you should see a dermatologist and see what is best for you.

Someone suggest proactive and I was going to suggest that too, I hear that it is really good, Avon has great acne products too and there are a lot cheaper. You might just have to experiment a little bit, but instead of spending a lot of money to see what is best for you, maybe it would be a good idea to see your doctor or dermatologist first.
There are several options. Unfortunately, there are many over the counter options out there and most of the are all the same. Generally they are benzoyl peroxide preparations which may help very mild acne but won't do a lot for more moderate to severe acne.

The first step to remember is that no matter what you try, it may take 4-6 weeks to see improvement. So never give up on an acne medicine unless you have tried it for that long. (Unless of course, you are having side effects like burning.)

The good news is that nowadays, acne is nearly always controllable. But the most effective medicines are only available by prescription, so you must see a doctor. If you aren't having any luck with over-the-counter treatments (either due to side effects, or because you tried them for 4-6 weeks without improvement), then talk to your doctor. Ask about combination benzoyl peroxide / antibiotic combinations or something called "retinoids". Between these two classes of medicines, most acne can be cured.

Try pro-active but first you should ask a doctor and maybe he can prescribe something better and cheeper good luck hope it works really
It could be just your age, talk to doc and drink lots of water!! Stay away from facial make up and try a little sunshine which helps dry it out. One more thing, stay away from foods that are fatty, fries, fast food places etc.

Try the Clear Skin Regimen by Acne.org, I set a goal of three months for myself last April and stuck with it, after a month my skin was completely clear, and since I set a goal farther away it was easier to achieve, as I didn't have my hopes up for a quick fix.

Hi,

I would prefer a natural acne treatment over pharma drugs. For the skin tea-tree oil is a good remedy for a lot of people.

A natural treatment for acne is of course the diet. Avoid fast food as much as you can and if you have a sweet tooth and don't want to miss eating chocolate and sweets I'd recommend buying sweet things at alternative stores. Look out that there is no sugar or artificial sweeteners in them but alternative sweeteners like fructose, stevia or if it's sugar in it make sure it is at least unrefined cane sugar.

Milk is an allergen and most people don't tolerate it contrary to TV spots and education at schools. Acne is a skin irritation which means that the body gets rid of wastes. The more toxins you have in your body the more it tries to get rid of them, one way is through the skin.

On the website below you can find some good articles on how to get acne free in a very short time.

Best wishes
Mike
