Whats the best way to get rid of a sinus infection?!

Question:
Answers:
Sinus infections are caused when mucous can't flow to remove the germs it has trapped. Don't take an antihistimine IF it is a sinus INFFECTION. For allergies or colds ,an antihistimine will reduce the watery mucous. S INF have thick green, foul mucous. Drinking lots of water, decongestants and keeping the mucous flowing will help. But an antibiotic may be necessary. S inf can be caused by funguses too and steriods can help then. Chronic sinus infections happen when you have blockages/polops, allergies, or using antihistimines too much. Saline sprays and washes help too. If Chronic see an ENT doctor.

Other Answers:
1. A nice hot bowl of fresh chicken soup w/ all the goodies

2. Half a teaspoon of cayenne pepper rolled in cigarette paper & swallowed.

3. A nice glass of hot toddy (cognac, hot water, camomille tea, honey & lemon).

Do all of the above & come see me in the morning.

anti-biotics
Fresh soup with salt and pepper.
If you have yellow or green mucous you need: AN ANTIBIOTIC. USUALLY WITH THIS THE DOCTOR WOULD HAVE YOU ON AN ANTIHISTAMINE TO HELP DRY YOU UP AND COUGH SYRUP TO HELP COUGH UP ANY CONGESTION IN THE LUNGS(USUALLY THIS COMES ALONG WITH THE SINUS INFECTION)

MY OWN EXPERIENCE
Steam inhalation. Antihitaminics. If you are below thirty yers short course of vitamin C Then if necessay Antibiotics
Well at best I get one 2 times a year, at worst 4 to 5 times. I get bad ones but the only thing that helps is strong anti-botic, and a sterio shot. Musenex add to your allery meds helps a lot but if you don't get better quick get to the doctor. If you wait to long you can develop nemonia. Musenex does prevent it turning into nemonia but will not fight off the infection.
