Were you covered for auto accidents at the time of the accident (1988) either by your own accident insurance or a second party (i.e. the other driver, if there was one)?
Not sure at all, you will have to check with an accident lawyer, but possibly if you can prove the new surgery is required due to injury from that accident, you can try to recover additional money through that insurance?
I don't know, I broke my left femer and have severe back pain, I don't understand why you have scare tissue in your femer. Did you have a rod inserted and then removed a yr or so later? Can you still work? If not see if you qualify for Social Security Disability or SSI. I never thought about filing for SSDI or SSI untill a friend new the pain that I was in and suggested it. But get ready it is one long tear jerking process. But I hate to say this there is no help in the meantime unless you have a Roll Number.
