How do I get help?!

Question: I hide how bad it is from most others, and the 1 or 2 that I do tell, don't really seem to believe me. I have no friends, no one to talk to. I just want to take a gun to my head. I'm crying out, but no one wants to help me. I DON'T WANT TO LIVE! And no, this is NOT a joke or some crackhead trying to get attention.
Answers:
You didn't happen to indicate your age, or whether or not you are in school, so I'll reply in a more general way. Here goes:

If you are in school, see a guidance counselor, a trusted teacher or a school nurse. Tell them *exactly* how you feel and ask for help.

If you are in the working world, your company may have a special hotline or confidential service you can contact to get the help you need, or at least give a referral. Most major companies cover this under their health plans, so money should not be an issue.

If none of the above applies to you, check your local phone book; there are often hotlines listed there that can assist you. If you belong to a church or religious group, talk to your religious leader and indicate that you need help. If you're not affiliated with a religious organization, ask around and find one that you think might help you.

Believe me: you've got a lot of choices, more than you know. Killing yourself doesn't have to be the only one.

if you are in school, you really should talk to your guidance counselor. If your parent's are around, you should be upfront and honest with them about your suicidal tendencies. YOU NEED PROFESSIONAL HELP! there are people out there that DO care about you. Killing yourself is not the answer. Please get help.
hey man your not alone theirs lots of young and old individials in the same spot, the best thing to do is not worry about the friends issue your going to be alright because the reason your haveing diffuclty is that people find it hard to relate to you because they dont knowyour hobbies or what you like to do try and share that show them what makes you you. if you dont have anything like i didnt start to try everything on your own then friends will follow
Look in the phone book for a psychologist or social worker who does counseling.

See a doctor about antidepressants (Lexapro is a good one).

Get the counseling. Take the antidepressants.

You will be ASTONISHED at what a difference you will see.

Even if you don't believe me, DO IT ANYWAY.

If you are afraid that you really are going to hurt yourself, call 911. They are there 24/7.

You can't fix this at home - professional help HELPS!

All best wishes to you!
