Why do I ALWAYS THINK SOMEBODY IS RAPING ME WHILE IM SLEEPING?!
Question: I live by myself and I always think somebody is breaking in and drugging me so they can rape me while I'm asleep. Does anybody else have this paranoia. And how can I tell if this really is true?

is it secretly a fanstasy of yours.they say sometimes in dreams we think about what we really want..not saying you wish to be raped but maybe roleplaying it or something like that.have you had a stalker or someone that has been bothering or harassing you? something in your daily life maybe causing that thought.
dont worry its probably just your head playing tricks with your mind. evry night you go to sleep just make sure the door is locked and tha windows are shut and try to relax before going to sleep youll see its just a dream.

I can relate, in a sense. Growing up I used to always fear that in the dark, before I went to bed someone would come in and rape me when I was most vulnerable. It took me many years to figure out why I feared that so much and you wanna know why I feared it so much? I had repressed the memory of being molested as a kid and my subconsious was manifesting that memory into that fear. When I finally remembered what happened, I stopped getting that panicky feeling at night.
