Looking for a natural remedy for ear infections. Any good suggestions?!

Question: Feels like my ears are perpetually blocked.
Answers:
A number of herbal treatments for otitis media have been recommended, including eardrops made with goldenseal (Hydrastis canadensis), mullein (Verbascum thapsus), St. John’s wort (Hypericum perforatum), and echinacea (Echinacea spp.). Tinctures of echinacea, thyme (Thymus vulgaris), and elderflower (Sambucus nigra) are often recommended for oral treatment of otitis media due to chronic congestion. Warm garlic oil can be instilled directly into the ear. Steam inhalation infused with eucalyptus or chamomile may reduce the congestion of the URIs that often accompany otitis media.
Homeopathic remedies that may be prescribed for middle ear infections include aconite, ferrum phosphoricum, belladonna, chamomilla, lycopodium, pulsatilla,or silica.

Try acupuncture. Really works!
There are a couple of things you could try. First, you can buy something called Debrox at any pharmacy. It contains drops that you put in your ears to help soften the wax. There should also be a bulb syringe inside to irrigate the ears with warm water. You can also try putting a few drops of sweet oil in your ears. Peroxide and warm water is another choice to use. Purchase a small bulb syringe to irrigate the ears. If the problems continues you might need to see your doctor.
If you have any fluid in your ears, this is what my Grammy used to do for me when I was little. It may sound funny, but it really does work and I still use it to this day all these years later.
Get a clean white sock, and be sure it has no holes at all. (I usually get a new pair and use them just for this reason) Roll down the ends about halfway. Pour salt into the toes part of the sock, enough so it'd look like about the size of a lemon or small orange in there. Leave a little room and tie a knot in the sock to keep the salt in. The reason you leave a little bit of room there is because you're going to lay down with the salt sock under your ear and you'll want it to kind of flatten out a little bit. Throw the salt sock into the oven for a few minutes, or in the microwave for 30 sec-1 min. just to warm it up. Take the sock, and lie down on your side with a pillow under your head, but have the sock between the pillow and your head, covering your whole ear underneath. Stay that way until the sock gets cold. Redo this as often as you want. If you use a white sock, you'll see the fluid there that the salt helped draw out. Plus the warmth helps if you have any earache. This works especially well for kids when they don't feel good.
Try it, it really does work. :)

Old family remedy.
Clean the ear canal with cotton swab dipped in rectified spirit.Take a deep breathe & close the nose with finger tips. Then try to release the air through the ear for a short time.,.Practise it for a few days& see.
Buy sweet oil. Warm the bottle in warm water test it on your arm. (Like a baby bottle) Then go and get the sourest candy you can find. You know that pop in your jaw are the gland in your jaw area that you get when you eat something sour. This will release the fluid build up! Repeat unit its gone. Works great for my two little ones.
Mullein essence almost instantly stops the pain and is anti-infective. Also Hydrogen peroxide works well (about three drops in the infected ear).
I heard garlic oil in the ear helps.
Try looking into Hopi Candles, they are used by Holistic Therapists. The best ones to use are Bio-Sun, but you must get someone that is trained to use them
See a doc. Find out the source and treat it. Don't candle. Too many dangers. Good docs will know natural remedies too. Remedies that will keep you from getting on-going infections.
